Acceptance

One of my short stories, "Coven", has found a home. It's a good thing I waited a few days to post this because it would probably have incoherent and in all caps. I was literally about to send "Coven" out again, but I decided to check my e-mail and found the acceptance letter. I woke up my mother in the middle of the night to tell her - she's even more excited than I am if such a thing is possible. I'll get into specifics in the coming weeks, but it will probably be published next month. "Coven" will be my first piece of fiction to get printed, so it's pretty special to me.

I've also learned some things from this: Duotrope is your friend, and always read, write, and submit. None of this stuff is actually easy, and there will be more rejections than acceptances, but I think that all the uncertainty and pain is worth it.

Have you been accepted anywhere?

The last post I read of yours was about Rejection, so I'm glad to come back to find this! Yay!
