About Me

I was born in France, raised in Nigeria, and now I live in Jamaica.  Long story short: I'm half Nigerian and half Jamaican.

I'm a freelance writer and aspiring novelist. I have writing credits in non-fiction as a contributor to the Dear Scotland website, and two of my film reviews have been featured on IMDb's hit list. These reviews can be found here and here. I was also a finalist in the 76th Annual Writer's Digest Writing Competition.  One of my short stories has appeared in Ghostlight Magazine and my non-fiction has appeared in Rue Morgue, the Jamaica Observer, Bitch, and World War II.  I'm also a member of the Georgian Society of Jamaica.  I recently finished the first draft of my manuscript set during the Golden Age of piracy.  I'm now working on a dark comedy of manners about race, class, and sex in the 1920s.

This is my online journey as a freelance writer and aspiring novelist.  I'll be posting about my works in progress, conferences, workshops, book reviews, romance, chick-lit, historical fiction, fantasy, and writing in general.
